Tunisia's main international airport for scheduled flights is Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN). You can get a taxi from the airport to the center of Tunis, but be wise and settle on the price upfront – the metters may be „altered“. Alternatively, you can take the bus # 635 or # 35 to Ave Habib Bourguiba for around 1 dinar. The bus can be found in front of the terminal.

Tunisia's second airport is Habib Bourguiba, Skanes-Monastir(MIR) which will probably be your airport if you travel with a cheap airline. Monastir is closer to most of the tourist destinations. Cheap flights (at least from the UK) are also available. Other international airports include Tozeur and Djerba.

There are other international airports in Tunisia but those are rarely used by airlines.

The best way to travel to Tunis by boat is to catch a ferry in Italy. You can also travel to Tunis with a cruise ship. We took a cruise ship from Spain to Tunis and were very pleased by the cruise.
